Theft in Conveyance
ElectraLink has developed additional services to further aid networks in both their understanding of their energy theft obligations and the resolution of energy theft. One of these services is the Theft in Conveyance (TIC) service.
ElectraLink’s TIC service dispatches expert engineers to sites on a DNO’s electricity network to investigate theft in conveyance and undertake steps that will lead to the resolution of the issue, including making the site safe and collecting evidence. The TIC service can be configured as a supplemental service to complement existing DNO theft teams or acts in lieu of one and enables DNOs to comply with theft obligations.
Working with Haste Ltd, the TIC service will provide solutions to resolve the issue, including:
- Making a site safe, including removing any bypasses around the cut-out fuse or asset, and installing an asset (where required); and
- Collecting evidence to assist in resolving unregistered sites.
The TIC service can be configured as a supplemental service to support networks’ in-house Revenue Protection teams due to resourcing issues, or to expand into a further reaching investigation process, as well as an end-to-end replacement for the in-house function.
