ElectraLink to deliver a Theft Risk Assessment Service (TRAS) for the gas market

ElectraLink has been appointed as the Theft Risk Assessment Service Project and Procurement Manager to procure a central service to assess the risk of theft of gas at consumer premises on behalf of the UK gas suppliers. Theft of gas increases the costs to suppliers, which will then factor through to consumers via their tariffs, and can have serious safety consequences.

Implementing new supplier obligations: ElectraLink response to DECC

In response to a request for information, ElectraLink advises DECC that there are regulated and commercial options for facilitating the Foundation Phase of SMIP and that whilst a regulated or commercial solution is likely to cost and function similarly, a commercial solution could be delivered more efficiently and quicker than a regulated one. On 1 March 2013, ElectraLink responded to a request for information by DECC.

ElectraLink Responds To ECCC Call For Evidence on Smart Meter Rollout

ElectraLink shows the value of reusing existing infrastructure and centralised reporting to keep costs down within the Smart Meter Implementation Programme. ElectraLink responds to the Energy and Climate Change Committee call for evidence on smart meter rollout, showing how consumer and industry’s costs can be minimised by using existing industry infrastructure and processes, and having centralised reporting based on existing industry data.

ElectraLink supports live Green Deal messages

The first live Green Deal messages have been successfully transmitted across ElectraLink’s Data Transfer Network. In its role as the provider of the network that connects Green Deal providers and Suppliers,ElectraLink has successfully carried the first live messages associated with this key Government Programme. Over the last months ElectraLink has been supporting the implementation and testing of the communications infrastructure,and has successfully added over 20 new Green Deal participants to the Data Transfer Network.

ElectraLink responds to DECC’s consultation on the Smart Energy Code

ElectraLink has responded to DECC’s consultation on Stage 1 of the Smart Energy Code (SEC). We have used our in-depth knowledge of current industry arrangements and experience as a Code Administrator and Secretariat, in commenting on the proposed SEC arrangements and legal drafting. ElectraLink supports the Supply Point Administration Agreement (SPAA), the Distribution Connection and Use of System Agreement (DCUSA) and the Data Transfer Service Agreement (DTSA), and provides secretariat services to the Distribution Charging Methodologies Forum (DCMF).
