ElectraLink Welcomes Ofgem’s Consent to it providing data services to the Electricity industry.

Ofgem announced on 30th May 2013 that it had accepted the request from the DNOs to allow ElectraLink to provide data services to the electricity industry. ElectraLink welcomes Ofgem’s consent announced on 30th May 2013 to ElectraLink’s provision of data, market and support services to the electricity industry. Ofgem says in its determination “We consider that allowing ElectraLink to explore additional data, market and infrastructure support services for businesses in the electricity industry, will potentially benefit both DTS Users and other industry parties.

ElectraLink’s 2012 Customer Satisfaction show satisfaction with its services significantly higher than similar organisations.

ElectraLink has published its latest independent customer satisfaction survey which once again shows the high level of satisfaction with its services. ElectraLink’s latest Customer satisfaction survey shows that once again ElectraLink’s customer satisfaction is rated by its users as much better than similar organisations.  The independent customer satisfaction reports for 2012 on the DTS can be found here and Governance Services, here.

ElectraLink to deliver a Theft Risk Assessment Service (TRAS) for the gas market

ElectraLink has been appointed as the Theft Risk Assessment Service Project and Procurement Manager to procure a central service to assess the risk of theft of gas at consumer premises on behalf of the UK gas suppliers. Theft of gas increases the costs to suppliers, which will then factor through to consumers via their tariffs, and can have serious safety consequences.

Implementing new supplier obligations: ElectraLink response to DECC

In response to a request for information, ElectraLink advises DECC that there are regulated and commercial options for facilitating the Foundation Phase of SMIP and that whilst a regulated or commercial solution is likely to cost and function similarly, a commercial solution could be delivered more efficiently and quicker than a regulated one. On 1 March 2013, ElectraLink responded to a request for information by DECC.
