Recent switching data from our Energy Market Data HUB (EMDH) shows 530,000 customers switched energy supplier in August 2019, 8% more than August 2018
Our recent switching data reveals that 527,000 customers successfully changed supplier in July 2019. This marks a 12% increase compared to July 2018, and ranks July as the month with the third highest number of successful switches in 2019, after March and April’s historic high.
ElectraLink’s switching data from June 2019, published today, shows that a total of 443,000 switches were completed last month, down 9.5% from May 2019 and 7% from June last year.
Switching rates in May levelled out following April 2019’s record-breaking month. 489,000 customers moved to new suppliers with established challenger brands making the most gains.
