Emergency Metering Service
Alongside an NRPS contract, ElectraLink has launched additional services to further aid suppliers in both their understanding of their energy theft obligations and the resolution of metering faults. One of these services is the dual fuel Emergency Metering Service.
The ElectraLink Emergency Metering Service enables energy suppliers to send out accredited engineers to maintain or restore connection and install a new meter after an emergency callout at any site in GB. This is the one of the only dual fuel, 24/7 combined Post Emergency Metering Service (PEMS) for gas and Urgent Metering Service (UMetS) for electricity available in GB and outsources Emergency Metering Services to reinforce existing metering resources.
Emergency Metering Services such as PEMS and UMetS are traditionally provided following an emergency callout on a distribution network and involve maintaining or restoring the flow of gas or electricity to the meter outlet. This service will see MOCOPA and AMI qualified engineers from our partners, Haste, attend a site, ensure continuity of supply for gas or electricity, and install the most appropriate meter, smart or otherwise.
