We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Stakeholder Engagement Executive to join our growing, central London based team. You will play a strategic role in the mapping and qualitative analysis of our stakeholders against business objectives. You will also have a central role in planning and co-ordination of our cross-team, industry and internal engagement programmes. We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of stakeholder engagement, its importance to a central body in the energy, gas and water markets and who has the excellent written and oral communication skills required to communicate sometimes complex information to a wide range of stakeholders. This is a client facing role that requires an upbeat and energetic personality with a ‘can-do’ approach. You will enjoy working as part of a team, using your initiative, developing new ideas, and managing your workload in a flexible working environment. Key accountability

Key elements of the role include:

  • Support the organisation’s engagement planning, utilising team business goals to develop engagement objectives
  • Manage the delivery of our engagement programmes, once agreed upon by business units and track outcomes through the CRM
  • Work with IT services to improve and oversee the internal CRM as a tool for managing stakeholder engagement, including promoting its use internally
  • Work with business units and the rest of the Marketing and Engagement team to develop key messages for stakeholders and identify and deliver communications to convey them
  • Play a significant role in the planning and delivery of key corporate events
  • Horizon scan for opportunities for ElectraLink to engage with its target audiences including identifying and arranging relevant speaking opportunities for senior staff
  • Maintain our engagement pack of stakeholder communications collateral
  • Be actively involved in a number of company projects, some customer facing and others internal.

Skills & Experience

Key skills:

  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience of event delivery
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement planning skills including mapping of stakeholders and developing tailored plans as how to engage with them
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Some programme management experience, though formal training not required
  • Ability to present complex information in engaging and clear communications for a range of audience, working with marketing to develop informative materials
  • An understanding of social media would be advantageous
  • IT literate with competent skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as a minimum, and preferably an understanding of Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM);

Key characteristics:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • At least two years’ experience of working in a comparable stakeholder engagement role
  • An enthusiastic, ‘can-do’ approach and a strong team player
  • Attention to detail and desire to deliver a quality service
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative to problem-solve and innovate
  • Creative with the confidence to share ideas
  • Efficient and well organised
  • Interest in the energy industry, with some experience in this or the utilities field desirable.
