ElectraLink delivers network data services, governance services, and energy market insights to the UK energy industry. The organisation is at the centre of a complex market with a range of stakeholders including Ofgem, BEIS, energy suppliers, energy distribution companies and energy service organisations. ElectraLink’s Energy Market Data Hub (EMDH) is a key enabler for innovation in the energy sector. Data, combined with future requirements for energy networks to be managed in a more flexible, customer-centric way, is the catalyst for the transition that Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) are making to expanding their scope of business to become Distribution System Operators (DSOs). ElectraLink’s EMDH sits at the heart of this shifting energy landscape, primarily through the Data Transfer Service (DTS) that sits at the heart of the EMDH. ElectraLink is preparing for significant change to the energy market through a major transformation in its enterprise operating model. In conjunction with a re-platforming of its core services, ElectraLink is transforming to an Agile delivery model to ensure alignment with both the rapidly changing needs of the market and the operating model of its primary technology partner. At ElectraLink, the EMDH Product Owner for Data & Energy Market Insight services is a senior IT professional responsible for setting, prioritising, and evaluating the vision and work generated by one or more software Scrum teams in order to ensure product features and functionality that will enhance customers’ business operations.
