Debt Recovery Service

 

 

Alongside an NRPS contract, ElectraLink has developed additional services to further aid suppliers in both their understanding of their energy theft obligations and the resolution of energy theft. One of these services is Debt Recovery for domestic and commercial sites.

The Debt Recovery Service is designed to support suppliers in obtaining an accurate assessment of unrecorded units and allowing for direct discussion with a customer to agree a payment plan. This ensures the customer is left on supply while the supplier recovers lost revenue and continues to receive revenue through the meter.

If a supplier has recorded pre-existing debt at either the domestic or commercial property due for theft investigation, this data can be shared with ElectraLink to enable the Debt Recovery Service to begin. While on site undertaking a Revenue Protection job, an engineer from our partners, Haste Ltd, can discuss the debt with the customer and facilitate a call through to the supplier to resolve the unpaid charges.

The Debt Recovery Service provides a cost reduction and more efficient debt collection route for suppliers as it reduces administration burdens of following up with the customer, as well as reducing the costs associated with further site visits, debt collection agency costs, and achieving a prompt payment for pre-existing and newly identified debts.
