ElectraLink and ICoSS Rewrite and Relaunch Version 6 of Industrial and Commercial Code of Practice
Published: April 4, 2018ElectraLink and ICoSS have rewritten and relaunched Version 6 of the Industrial and Commercial Code of Practice (I&C CoP). This revised Code of Practice incorporates comments from business shippers and suppliers gathered during the recent consultation period. The Code of Practice was established in 2013 to tackle and resolve common customer transfer issues, suppliers and shippers face in the I&C gas market.

Suppliers commit to charging prepayment customers comparable prices to those on standard meters although additional infrastructure, contractual and operational costs mean they incur higher overheads to supply some of Britain’s most vulnerable customers. The additional infrastructure is sometimes unable to identify the correct Supplier when a prepayment customer tops up their gas meter.

Published: November 27, 2017ElectraLink managed the procurement of a service provider of modelling services and is pleased to announce the selection of Cambridge Economic Policy Associates (CEPA) and TNEI from a number of bidders. The Distribution Use of System (DUoS) financial models are used by the GB electricity industry to allocate the £5 billion annual cost of the distribution networks. ElectraLink is the secretariat of the Distribution Connection and Use of Service Agreement (DCUSA) which manages these models.

ElectraLink’s DTN connects all retail market participants, and underpins industry inter-operability and supports processes critical to a competitive energy market.
