For decades, ElectraLink has been at the heart of the UK energy market, contributing to projects in the transition to a low-carbon future.

As a business operating in an ever-changing energy sector, we thrive on diversity of thought, experience and skills to drive innovation. Our people are what makes ElectraLink a market-leading organisation.

We invest in our people so our colleagues are trained in line with their professional goals, rewarded with our successes, and supported when life and work become challenging. We believe a supportive culture means more than the volunteer days off, social events, bonus scheme, enhanced pension, and tax-efficient EV and bicycle schemes that we offer ever could.

We recognise the sensational contributions of all our employees, and work tirelessly to create an environment of excellence, trust, respect, and accountability. That’s why we are so proud that Best Companies named us as a two-star organisation with outstanding engagement in 2023.

Our corporate mission

We aim to make a difference. Since opening our doors in 1998 to fulfil a critical data transfer function for the privatised British energy market, we have changed enormously as a company to uncover energy industry insights, support innovation and inspire positive outcomes for businesses, energy users and the planet. This enables the market to flourish and for professionals to build their careers while making an impact and driving the industry forward.

We provide data-first services, prioritising innovation, security, and insight discovery above all else. Our business model keeps costs low for industry, inspires and supports innovation, and facilitates the national journey to Net Zero. To achieve this, we know people are the key to our success, so we have built a diverse place to work where personal and professional growth is promoted across the organisation.

Our values guide our culture

Our values are a set of standards that guide how we perform our roles. Every member of the ElectraLink team, irrespective of job role or level, has a critical part to play in the life and work of ElectraLink.

Meet our values (and their behaviours):

Embrace Change
Be passionate, optimistic, experimental
Always Be Learning

Be Open and Inclusive
Be respectful, open-minded, collaborative
Take Responsibility and Act with Integrity
Be responsible, reliable, honest

We look after our people

Employee feedback fuels leadership action. Our Employee Forum gathers suggestions and comments and shares initiatives with our CEO to create change initiatives to improve colleague satisfaction, including the four day working week. As of June 2023, we are officially a four-day week organisation providing even more flexibility and balance to employees. The Employee Forum proposed the idea of this new working model and, after several trial periods with data-backed assessments, we discovered that the value in a shorter work week has been exceptional without compromising on performance.

Our flexible and hybrid working policies have given us the freedom to enjoy a wonderful work-life balance and make the most of opportunities to collaborate online and in-person in London or Nottingham for creative planning and problem-solving.

We are on a journey to make ElectraLink fully inclusive, allowing us to bring in talented colleagues and surround ourselves with a welcoming team benefitting from unobstructed career growth opportunities. We encourage our peers to be themselves at work, and we celebrate diversity and the unique viewpoints it brings. Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy has charted the course for us to be market leaders in EDI.
