Chief Technical Officer Wins Commendation in Prestigious Photography Awards
ElectraLink’s Chief Technical Officer, Paul Gath, has been commended for one of his incredible landscape photographs currently on display at the London Waterloo station, winning a place in the 2017 Awards book, Landscape Photographer of the Year: Collection 11, published on October 16th. The awards ceremony for the ‘Take a View – Landscape Photographer of the Year’ Awards competition was hosted by TV presenter and businessman, Ray Mears. The final judging panel consisted of an eminent selection of individuals in the photographic space, with the awards themselves created in 2006 by well-known and respected photographer, Charlie Waite.
Pauls winning image entitled Make Your Mark portrays a single tree amidst a freshly planted field in Hannington, Hampshire, England. Paul took up the art of photographer at a very young age and has flourished in the last 5 years, truly getting noticed amongst his peers. He launched his website www.paulgath.co.uk in 2015 and has been selling his work world-wide. Paul was also interviewed for the December issue of Outdoor Photography Magazine, which has just been published.
Landscape Photographer of the Year is a highly respected Annual Awards celebrating ‘all that is great’ about the British landscape and is an opportunity for talented photographers like Paul to showcase their work and their exploration of the British landscape through photography. The display will run through to 4th February 2018 and will tour other UK train stations in 2018. The Sunday Times Magazine was the first to show its selection from all the successful images in October, followed by a feature in Amateur Photographer, which took place in early November.
We are proud to celebrate staff achievements, both in work, and outside. Congratulations Paul, what a win!
