ElectraLink says goodbye to CEO Stuart Lacey after 10 years

March 31, 2021

Today ElectraLink says goodbye and all of our best wishes to Stuart Lacey, our CEO for the last 10 years.

Stuart took the reins of the UK’s provider of energy market data transfer and transformed it into the Energy Market Data Hub. By rejuvenating its core data transfer service (DTS), ElectraLink was able to accommodate the huge growth in data volumes generated by an increasingly competitive retail energy market over the last decade. Recognising early the importance of open data, Stuart led the negotiation of user approvals and navigation of the complexities of data protection legislation that allowed ElectraLink to provide a range of data services, which are now reducing consumer costs, enabling regulation and driving innovation.

“I am leaving ElectraLink for a new challenge after 10 enjoyable years building a great team, growing the business and developing the capabilities that will ensure the company’s future for many years to come,” says Stuart.  “Access to open data, expertise in managing huge energy market datasets and an understanding of relevant industry codes position ElectraLink as an important catalyst in the UK’s transition to carbon net zero – I wish the team the best of luck.”
