ElectraLink’s National Revenue Protection Service (NRPS) team has taken further steps towards resuming business as usual activities in the energy market with the introduction of the government’s guidance paper, ‘Working Safely during COVID-19 in other Peoples Homes.’
The guidance now allows us to attend non-emergency revenue protection investigations (both Category B and C) in addition to urgent category A investigations, providing clarity on the requirements to assess and manage risks for both site engineers and building owners and tenants.
We have therefore resumed all aspects of our controlled and secure end-to-end theft investigation and replacement energy meter service.
The NRPS team has worked throughout the lockdown period, attending sites for urgent investigations, removing tampered meters and making homes and businesses safe. To date during the lockdown period, 93 percent of all of our essential RP visits were successfully closed without the need for warrants.
