ElectraLink’s revenue protection service will continue for most urgent cases during COVID-19

April 7, 2020

ElectraLink’s National Revenue Protection Service (NRPS) will continue site visits and safety efforts for all Category A investigations where consumer safety is at risk during the COVID-19 lockdown in the UK.

The national lockdown to delay the effects of COVID-19 has meant that all non-essential onsite works have been paused. However, ElectraLink and our partner, Haste Ltd, will continue to deliver all urgent works as an essential service.

The NRPS team will make safe the site under investigation and then work with the supplier’s existing MOP or MAM to replace the faulty meter, or work through the end-to-end process directly, including installing the replacement meter ourselves.

During the lockdown and social distancing period, we are balancing the safety of our engineers with the safety of consumers. Our field force is dedicated to providing this urgent service to keep the public safe and maintain the safe functioning of energy infrastructure and assets.

It is vital that the entire energy market works together to ensure consumer safety during this challenging period. We invite suppliers to please contact us at rpservices@electralink.co.uk if your current revenue protection provider is unable to support you at this time, and we will do what we can to help.
