ElectraLink is pleased to announce that Grant Thornton LLP has been successfully appointed as the Smart Metering Installation Code of Practice (SMICoP) Code Auditor.
ElectraLink was awarded the SMICoP Code Administrator Contract through a competitive tender in 2014, which included the requirement to procure an independent auditor. ElectraLink managed a dedicated project to effectively appoint the auditor, which required extensive stakeholder engagement, tender assessments and evaluations resulting in a contract award.
ElectraLink is pleased to announce that Grant Thornton LLP has been successfully appointed as the Smart Metering Installation Code of Practice (SMICoP) Code Auditor as of 1 August 2016. This followed an eight month competitive procurement process.
The audit process mandates that all SMICoP Members with over 10,000 electricity and/or gas Domestic and/or Micro Business Customers, will require a single independent audit to provide assurance that processes and compliance is in place for all relevant aspects of the Code from the time of the last self-certification statement.
