    • Gavin Jones is Business Development Director for ElectraLink and is responsible for growing their commercial business in support of the UK Energy industry, for instance through the sale of data services in support of the UK move to Smart Metering and Smart Grids.

      Gavin is involved in the UK Smart Energy arena at both customer and policy level, speaking, writing papers and meeting with policy makers across Europe. In the UK he is a member of the DECC and Ofgem's Smart Grid Forum which is shaping the future UK policy in this area. He has been influential in setting up Smart Grid Great Britain and is its first chair. Gavin also chairs Intellect's (the UK technology industry association) Utilities and Smart Metering and Smart Grids Working Groups.

      Prior to moving to ElectraLink, Gavin was IBM's Future Energy Leader for UK, Ireland and Nordics and had specific responsibility for leading the team selling Smart Grid solutions in the geography.

    • Neil joined ElectraLink back in May 1998 ahead of the deregulated electricity market. His involvement in defining, procuring and then implementing the Data Transfer Network operated by ElectraLink has given him a unique insight into the challenges faced by the deregulating market. Neil brings excellent interpersonal skills to his various roles and has developed longstanding relationships across all levels of clients throughout the energy utilities sector.

      More recently, Neil has utilised his knowledge of the UK electricity and gas industries within a business development role, developing dual fuel accounts with 4 of the Big 6 Retailers, with smaller Retailers such as OVO and First Utility and with some of the UK's largest metering agents and meter asset providers. He also manages a number of ElectraLink's Network service lines such as DUoS ebilling and the gas industry's NOSI service.

      In the foundation space, Neil is also working with a number of metering service providers (MSPs) to develop and hone their respective Smart Metering solutions with ElectraLink value add capabilities in the foundation space and beyond.

      Neil has a BA Hons in Business with Computing and has an MBA from the Sir John Cass Business School. He is also a PRINCEII practitioner.

    • Owen joined ElectraLink early in 2011 as a Business Development Manager from Orange where he had spent the preceding 10 years. During his time at Orange he headed up the Machine 2 Machine sales team, taking it from a standing start to a turnover close to £8M p.a. He spearheaded Orange's foray into the emerging wireless AMR and remote monitoring market and recruited and managed many of the largest M2M clients for Orange, relationships that continue to flourish and drive significant revenues today. His final role at Orange was as head of the Finance and IT Corporate Sales team, with responsibility for some of the largest and most demanding Orange customers and revenues in excess of £20m p.a. At Orange, Owen won the coveted Orange Distinction award for 'Outstanding Leadership', the highest accolade that Orange bestows in Business Sales, and was also nominated as an 'Emerging Leader'. Owen has a combined Economics and German degree (BA Joint Hons) from the University of East Anglia.

      Owen has been recruited by ElectraLink to deliver and drive new commercial data services and revenues. He is spearheading our engagement across all market participants and leading ElectraLink's activities in support of the Low Carbon Network Fund Projects. He is also working with ElectraLink's SI Partners as they develop and deploy their Smart Metering solutions, adding the unique and compelling value that only ElectraLink can.
