
Dave Mutton
Chief Executive Officer
Dave joined the electricity industry in 1964 as a trainee engineer, later moving into IT. He went onto become a director of South Western Electricity plc and later moved onto St Clements Services as CEO. He then joined ElectraLink as CEO back in 2003.
As a company Dave believes ElectraLink is very well positioned with its knowledge and skills to ease the transition and play a major part in providing the central communications, data management and interoperability facilities that will make smart metering work.

Ian Rose
Business Development Director
Ian has worked in the UK energy utilities sector for 12 years. Prior to ElectraLink, Ian worked in Logica’s utility business in a variety of roles. He was involved in the design and build of supplier systems for 1998 market entry and their subsequent evolution, as well as managing the delivery of services into transmission and distribution businesses.
As Business Development Director at ElectraLink, he leads activities to evolve the Data Transfer Service to support smart metering for both short-term deployments and the longer-term market model.

Paul Gath
Chief Technical Officer
After completing a BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Paul started his working life with ICL, where he took a traditional career path through software development, support, via project management to programme management. Later in his career, Paul joined ElectraLink in 1998 and being in from the outset has given him a great depth of understanding of all the technical services that we provide and how these can be used to the benefit of our customers.
Paul has overseen the evolution of the DTS from an old fashioned, X.400 network to an open, IP-based service using the latest, modern technologies. He has managed these changes whilst maintaining live, operational performance to very stringent service levels.Paul is looking forward to the next stage of the company’s development, including the provision of new technical services within a Service Oriented Architecture to help the utility industry meet new challenges such as the implementation of Smart metering.

Brian O' Shea
Chief Financial Officer
Brian joined ElectraLink in 1999 with responsibility for all financial and commercial matters. His first task was to lead the transition of the company from a project based organization into a fully operational company.
In 2004 Brian took on responsibility for ElectraLink’s commercial development and through utilising existing core infrastructure and branching out into new areas such as code governance a sound commercial foundation has been established. Brian is a qualified accountant with 15 years commercial, financial and operational experience in the commercial sector.

Neil Mc Keown
Business Development
Neil joined ElectraLink back in May 1998 ahead of the deregulated electricity market. His involvement in defining, procuring and then implementing the Data Transfer Network operated by ElectraLink has given him a unique insight into the challenges faced by the deregulating market. Neil is a senior Business Development executive and brings excellent interpersonal skills to his various roles and has developed longstanding relationships across all levels of clients throughout the energy utilities sector.
More recently Neil has utilised his knowledge of the UK electricity and gas industries in a consultancy and business development role, playing a leading role in the development and marketing of ElectraLink’s commercial activities across both sectors. He has a BA Hons in Business with Computing and has an MBA from the Sir John Cass Business School. He is also a PRINCEII practitioner.

Elizabeth Lawlor
Governance Services Manager
Elizabeth joined ElectraLink in 2004 with the remit to establish and develop the foundations for its Governance Services portfolio. Elizabeth has over 9 years experience of working in the UK energy sector ranging from the operation of the Electricity Pool, the development and roll out of NETA, and the subsequent transition to ELEXON, Elizabeth has a deep understanding of market operations including code administration processes, market entry processes, audit and assurance, service delivery and change management.
Looking to the future, Elizabeth will manage and develop the ElectraLink’s code governance capability to ensure it continues to deliver sector leading service performance and is best placed to meet the changing needs of industry including the impact of smart metering and the outcome of the Ofgem Review of Industry Code Governance.

Ben Nicaudie
Head of Consultancy
Ben joined ElectraLink in 2009 as Head of Consulting to help shape their growing demand for specialist consultancy around smart metering solutions and services. Ben has 15 years experience in the energy and utility sectors on a wide variety of development, procurement and system integration programmes.
Ben has a strong technical and analytical background and was recognised for his leading roles in high profile projects to enable transition to UK electricity market deregulation. He has recruited and managed high performing teams in strategic consultancy across utility industry sectors and across technologies.

Neil Beckwith
Business Architect
Neil is the principle arctitect assigned to shaping ElectraLink systems and service developments in support of a roll out of smart meters in the UK retail energy markets. Prior to joining ElectraLink in 2002, Neil has gained many years of industry experience spanning distribution, metering and retail supply with Northern and RWE nPower.
Neil has been successful in delivering business led ICT programmes, operations management and played a key role in the initial specification and procurement of the DTS back in 1997/8. Neil is a member of the Institute of Engineering Technology (IET) and has specialist knowledge of the existing interoperability arrangements and industry processes in the UK's competitive energy markets.

Aaron Forshaw
Consultant
Aaron joined ElectraLink’s consultancy practice in June 2009, bringing experience as a consultant in the energy and utilities sector. He has a hands-on approach and a reputation for connecting technical detail to the ‘big picture’. Aaron’s consulting experience includes work at several utility companies, across electricity retail, generation and trading, and water.
Prior to joining ElectraLink, Aaron worked at Logica for 10 years, and then as an independent consultant for a further 3 years. During this time he had many roles in design and development, management, consultancy and analysis.

Andy Beggs
Consultant
Andy joined ElectraLink’s consultancy practice in October 2009, bringing extensive experience as a commercial and business development manager in the energy sector. He has a hands-on approach with significant commercial and third party supplier management experience in smart metering. Andy has worked in the utility industry since 1995, in both the business and domestic energy supplier markets, and more recently for a gas and electricity meter operator. From 2007 he has been working on the development and delivery of system and business capabilities for a number of smart metering trials, both commercial and for the Government-backed Energy Demand Research Project.
Educated to Masters-level with a proven track record in utility operational management, Andy is able to proactively identify policy and process changes to existing business models and systems required for smart metering. He solves business problems through stakeholder engagement and input from trials and testing, and wider engagement outside the traditional energy sector.
