Dedicated to supporting the data management and governance of the UK gas and electricity industries, ElectraLink provides a portfolio of services that offer uncompromising quality and expertise.
Set up by the industry
ElectraLink was established in 1998 to deliver a data transfer service that underpinned the newly formed competitive domestic electricity supply market.
Over the years, we have continually invested in this core regulated capability as well as other related services to support the utilities industry in both the electricity and gas markets. Our focus is now on evolving our infrastructure and services to assist the UK utilities industry as it meets the data and governance challenges of deploying Smart metering and grid infrastructure.
ElectraLink’s six shareholders are CE Electric UK, Electricity North West, Scottish and Southern Energy, SP Energy Networks, UK Power Networks and Western Power Distribution.
Supporting Industry Change
Change is constant within the gas and electricity industries, particularly in these days of new and emerging technologies.
Since our data transfer service went live in 1998, we have continued to operate at the heart of these industries to help our clients manage change in all aspects of data processing and modelling, as well as in the governance required to meet all legal requirements in full.
Today ElectraLink enjoys an unrivalled reputation for our expertise in energy processes and governance issues.
ElectraLink’s Service Offering
Our company operates across four key service offerings:

These service offerings interlink, enabling us to offer a comprehensive service to our clients and to work as a cross-industry co-ordinating body, bringing multiple participants together and assisting in the agreement of energy industry changes.
